The regional Growth Caravan Tour comes to Vaasa 25.9.2015!
Maroš Šefčovič, Vice-President of the European Commission will visit Vaasa 25th of September. You can take part of the program in several locations during the day. The Citizens’ Dialogue will be at the University in the morning and a Business Seminar at Academill in the afternoon.
To the Citizens’ Dialogue you don’t need to register, just show up at stated location in time. The Business seminar is also open for everyone and free to attend, but a registration from the link below is required.
The regional Growth Caravan Tour discusses what has already been done and what more could be done to boost growth and jobs, promote investments, and increase competitiveness in the chosen regions. The intention is also to showcase real added value of EU funding in the creation of growth and jobs.
The purpose Energy Union Tour, launched by Mr Šefčovič, is to engage in an intensive dialogue with governments, national parliaments and the European Parliament, as well as relevant stakeholders, including social partners, representatives of the business community, NGOs and citizens. He visits Member States to present the opportunities that the Energy Union will bring to European citizens and businesses. Now the Tour is stopping at Vaasa. The Energy Union Tour will be a good occasion to discuss the challenges that have to be addressed to implement the Energy Union Strategy, to get more information about the specific situation of each Member State and to give visibility to existing good practices all around Europe.
